Carrington Cadishead Abandonment works

Total Uk Ltd have awarded Rayden the contract to abandon a pipeline that runs from Carrington to Cadishead. This has not been used since this spur line was disconnected from the Mainline Pipeline in 2003. Total have requested that this pipeline is concrete grouted to ensure there is no risk to the environment. This work is underway with the grouting works starting early in 2014. This will enable Rayden to use various items of owned kit and will challenge the team to enable complete grouting along an approximate 3.5km length of pipeline that runs through dense undergrowth and boggy areas.

BPA Uttoxeter Junction BV Replacement and Stopple Works

Rayden was awarded the contract by BPA to replace a 10" Block Valve and remove a Stopple at their site in Uttoxeter. This work entailed Cold Cutting the pipeline and removing the 10" above ground valve. We then had to insert a new Ball valve below ground, with associated extension spindle and electric actuator, weld, inspect and commission the new section.
